We are excited to announce we will be diving into beekeeping this season on the farm!
After many trips to the library and advice from expert beekeepers, we are finally ready to have our very own Piggly Petals Apiary! Pondering the idea of bringing bees on the farm has been on my mind for a few years. These beneficial pollinators are the perfect addition to our Flower Farm.
Many thanks to my husband, Chris, as he has been building two hives to prepare for our bees arrival at the end of April. This is a project that seems a bit intimidating, but well worth it in the end. I have always had a love for these small creatures as they are an important aspect in our ecosystem!
